For example, documents created in Microsft Works cannot be opened by Microsoft Word.
You can convert these files by using a free online conversion service such as zamzar.com.
Upload the file, and choose the desired format (for example .doc or .rtf). The converted file will be emailed to you.
If you don't have online access to email, you can use a temporary email account such as mailinator.com. Think up any unique email username and have it sent to username@mailinator.com. Go to Mailinator.com and enter the username to collect your email.
